Park Mark® and Park Access® awards achieved by multiple car parks across Maldon District Council
Maldon District Council demonstrates the highest standards across its parking operations.
Multiple car parks run by Maldon District Council have earned the Park Mark® award and the Park Access® accreditation, an achievement that highlights the commitment to safety and accessibility that Maldon brings to the running of their car parks.
Managed by the BPA on behalf of Police Crime Prevention Initiatives, the Safer Parking Scheme requires each car park to undergo a rigorous assessment by specially trained police assessors. Assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, taking into consideration surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness. Facilities that have received this award have seen a drop in vehicle-related crime of over 80%.
Car parks accredited under the scheme are awarded the Park Mark® certification, indicating they meet the highest standards of safety and security – facilities across Maldon District Council have managed to accomplish this in the past few months, and we’re proud to have recognised them for this impressive feat. Park Access® is indication of even further achievement, with the accreditation only being handed to those facilities with excellent accessibility features, ensuring that facilities are inclusive and user-friendly for all.
The following Maldon District Council owned car parks have been awarded Park Mark® and Park Access®:
- Riverside Park (Park Mark®), Millfield's (Park Mark®) and Foundry Lane in Burnham-on-Crouch (Park Mark® and Park Access®)
- High Street East, Butt Lane, Friary Fields, and White Horse Lane in Maldon (Park Mark® and Park Access®)
- Coach Park and main car park at Promenade Park (Park Mark® and Park Access®)
